Terms and conditions
The conditions for booking and delivery of services with Benzo Paris.
Working version dated 8 October 2026.
1. Service provider and scope
These terms govern passenger transport with a chauffeur offered under the Benzo Paris brand: transfers, long-distance journeys and hourly hire, including excursions, business travel and events.
Service provider: BENZO, EURL, share capital €1,500, registered office: 17 rue du Colisée, 75008 Paris. SIRET: 82213634700017. RCS: 822 136 347 RCS Paris. VAT number: FR44822136347. Registration in the French VTC operators register: EVTC075166350.
Contact: contact@benzoparis.com — telephone: +33 (0)6 75 11 89 01.
These terms apply to bookings by consumers and businesses. Specific conditions expressly agreed in an accepted quote prevail in the event of a conflict, subject to mandatory legal provisions. The applicable terms are those communicated and accepted at booking; later updates do not change an existing booking.
2. Quote requests and booking
The website form submits a request for a quote. Submitting it does not constitute a confirmed booking or a guarantee of availability.
The client provides locations, dates, times, the type of service, passenger and luggage numbers, and special requirements such as child seats, stops, accessibility or specific equipment. Flight or train details are required to arrange an arrival pickup.
Benzo Paris provides a quote stating the service, price, any supplements, offer validity and payment arrangements. The booking becomes binding after written acceptance of the quote and these terms, receipt of any required payment or deposit, and written confirmation from Benzo Paris. The client receives a summary on a medium they can retain.
3. Prices and additional charges
Prices for consumers are quoted in euros including all taxes. The quote specifies what is included, such as tolls, parking, waiting time, travel expenses and options.
Any foreseeable supplement must be disclosed before the contract is concluded. A client-requested change, such as an extra stop, destination change, extension or additional service, requires price information and agreement before delivery. No supplement arises solely from a unilateral change to Benzo Paris’s prices after confirmation.
Tolls and parking charges necessary for the service are included. No automatic surcharge applies for nights, weekends or public holidays. Special pricing, including during an event, may only be proposed if stated in the quote and accepted before booking.
4. Payment
Payment arrangements are those stated in the accepted quote: any deposit, balance due date and available payment methods. Any payment required before the service is expressly identified in the quote as an acompte (binding advance payment) or arrhes (deposit), with its consequences explained. An invoice is provided in accordance with applicable obligations.
Payment may be made by bank card, bank transfer or cash, only using the methods and arrangements stated in the accepted quote and within the applicable legal cash-payment limits.
For business clients, the agreed due date appears in the quote and invoice. Late-payment penalties and the €40 fixed recovery compensation applicable to businesses are specified in these documents in accordance with regulations. This compensation does not apply to consumers.
5. Pickup, waiting time and delays
The client should be at the confirmed place and time and provide a reachable telephone number. For airport and station arrivals, flight or train monitoring arrangements and the meeting point are specified in the confirmation.
60 minutes of waiting time are included for airport pickups; 30 minutes are included at train stations and for city pickups. At airports and stations, these periods start at the actual arrival of the flight or train. In the city, the period starts at the confirmed pickup time.
Waiting beyond the included duration may only be charged at a rate communicated before booking. Additional waiting is charged at the hourly-hire rate for the reserved vehicle category, stated in the quote. It is calculated in 30-minute periods, at the price of half an hour of hire for that vehicle. Each started 30-minute period is payable in full.
In the event of delay or difficulty locating the chauffeur, the client contacts Benzo Paris immediately. A no-show may only be established after the agreed waiting period has expired and attempts have been made to contact the client. Contact attempts and expiry of the included waiting period are taken into account in establishing a no-show.
6. Hourly hire and excursions
Hourly hire covers an agreed duration and programme. The included hours and kilometres, start and end locations and overrun charges appear in the quote. Any extension remains subject to chauffeur availability and the client’s agreement to its price.
Hourly hire has a minimum booking duration of 3 hours and includes 20 kilometres per booked hour. Additional time is charged at the vehicle category’s hourly-hire rate stated in the quote. Kilometres beyond the included allowance are charged at €2 including tax/km for the E-Class, €3 including tax/km for the V-Class and €4 including tax/km for the S-Class. Included kilometres are calculated over the whole reserved duration. The quote specifies overrun charges and how additional time is calculated.
Unless expressly stated in the quote, the service includes chauffeur transport; entry tickets, meals, tastings and guide services are not included. The chauffeur does not automatically act as a tourist guide. Any service combining transport with other tourism services must have appropriate conditions before it is offered for sale.
7. Changes and cancellation by the client
Requests to change or cancel must be sent in writing to the booking contact stated in the confirmation. Notice is calculated against the confirmed pickup time, in the departure location’s time zone.
Cancellation received at least 24 hours before pickup is free of charge. Payments for the cancelled service are refunded in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Changes remain subject to availability and acceptance of any new price.
For cancellation received less than 24 hours before pickup, or a client no-show established according to the agreed arrangements, 100% of the service price is charged. Amounts already paid are deducted from this amount, without double charging. This rule applies unless specific conditions were communicated and accepted before booking, subject to the client’s legal rights and the court’s power to revise a manifestly excessive penalty.
Different conditions for a partner vehicle or particular booking cannot be enforced against the client unless communicated and accepted before booking. Cancellation rules do not override the client’s mandatory rights or the legal effects of force majeure.
Cancelled flight: flight cancellation does not automatically make cancellation of the transfer free of charge. If the transport service is cancelled less than 24 hours before the confirmed pickup, 100% is charged under the rules above. Cancellation received at least 24 hours before remains free. These rules remain subject to the client’s legal rights, including the effects of force majeure where applicable.
In the event of a major delay or rerouting, the client informs Benzo Paris as soon as possible. Possible changes and any price consequences are agreed in writing, subject to chauffeur availability. A flight delay alone does not start the waiting period, which begins at its actual arrival.
8. Withdrawal
Passenger transport contracts are excluded from the general withdrawal regime for distance contracts under Article L. 221-2, 9° of the French Consumer Code. The usual 14-day period therefore does not apply to these transport services. The client benefits from the contractual cancellation options set out above.
This rule concerns passenger transport. Any sale of separate services, particularly combined tourism services, requires verification of their own applicable regime.
9. Vehicles, passengers and luggage
The guaranteed category, capacity and equipment are specified in the quote. Photographs illustrate the fleet; a specific model is guaranteed only if expressly stated in the confirmation. If a replacement is necessary, Benzo Paris seeks a vehicle with equivalent or superior capacity and service level. A lower-category replacement cannot be imposed without the client’s agreement and a price adjustment.
The client reports passenger numbers, luggage dimensions and volume, and special items. Regulatory capacity and safety requirements cannot be exceeded. Child seats or necessary adaptations must be requested at booking and confirmed in writing.
Passengers follow safety instructions, wear seat belts and do not smoke on board. Damage attributable to the client may only result in compensation for the actual loss incurred, supported by evidence. No undisclosed fixed damage charge is applied automatically.
10. Partner service providers
Benzo Paris may entrust all or part of the transport to an authorised, insured professional partner. Where Benzo Paris remains the client’s contracting party, it remains their contact for booking follow-up and is responsible for its contractual obligations. If a partner contracts directly with the client, its identity and applicable terms are provided before any commitment.
11. Inability to deliver and liability
If a confirmed service cannot be delivered, Benzo Paris informs the client and seeks a suitable replacement. If no accepted solution is available, amounts relating to undelivered services are refunded, without prejudice to the client’s other rights.
Advertised journey times are estimates. Benzo Paris must perform its obligations diligently; traffic difficulties do not automatically exempt it from all liability. Force majeure is assessed under Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. No provision in these terms excludes liability or a right that the law prohibits excluding.
12. Complaints and mediation
The client first sends a written complaint to contact@benzoparis.com or the registered office, providing the journey date, booking reference and relevant details. This procedure does not impose a contractual deadline reducing the client’s legal rights.
After a prior written complaint remains unresolved, the consumer may use the consumer mediator responsible for Benzo Paris free of charge, subject to applicable legal and admissibility conditions, notably within one year of the written complaint.
[Contracted mediator to be completed: name, postal address and website. No affiliation is assumed in this draft.] Mediation does not deprive the consumer of their right to bring proceedings before the competent court.
13. Personal data
Information provided is used to process quote requests, organise the service, manage the client relationship and meet legal obligations, particularly invoicing. Transport partners receive only information necessary to deliver the service.
Information about purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and individual rights appears in our privacy policy. Quote requests without a booking are retained for 12 months after the last exchange, subject to legal obligations and documents needed for a dispute. Contact to exercise your rights: contact@benzoparis.com.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law, subject to any applicable mandatory consumer protection provisions. In a dispute, the competent courts are determined according to legal rules. No exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris courts is imposed on consumers.
